Lucy Lawless hails from New Zealand and is an actor, singer, and musician. She is best known for her notable performances in a variety of high-profile television and movie series, such as Xena Warrior Princess and Spartacus Blood and Sand. The role was originally meant for the actress Vanessa Angel but ultimately went to Lucy as she was unable to attend the shooting because of illness.
